Hello everyone!
Below is all the notable updates from over the last month. Im going to try to push out an updated demo this month. We'll see!
== Metropolis 1998 June 2024 Update ==
--Major Updates
- Engine updated to handle Load On Demand efficiently
- Blueprints can now be mirrored
- More work done on the Demand Loop
--Minor Updates
- Unit properly path in 3D space now (i.e. multi-story buildings with non-continuous stairs)
- Map/world now has boundary fence for federally owned land
- Potato Graphics Mode (only draw outdoor and top visible floor items)
--Notable Bug Fixes
- Fixed units sometimes not drawing to screen when they are in higher floors
--Code Updates that took a good chunk of time
- Dynamic allocation for classes due to hitting stack memory limit
- Replaced hash tables with strict-type (index lookup) vectors
- Code refactoring, removed lots of unnecessary containers to reduce overhead/code complexity
